I really like having sun kissed looking skin all year round, which is why I go spray tanning once a week. I usually use a Versa Spa Pro Booth that has both pre and post sprays.
Before spray tanning it’s important to shower and exfoliate any dry skin or parts of your old spray tan. You should also avoid any lotion or deodorant.
When I get to the salon, I usually go into a tanning bed first for a “cocktail tan”. I start by applying the Versa Spa lotion, especially made for cocktail tans. The great thing about a cocktail tan is that it opens up your pores so that the spray tan solution can absorb better into the skin. Once the cool solution hits your skin your pores automatically shut, trapping the solution.
After going into the bed for 5 minutes, I hop into the spray booth. First thing I do is put a shower cap over my hair and on my face to protect these areas of the body. I then apply barrier cream to the dry areas of my body (ie, elbows, hands, knees, and feet). Once in the booth, I get a pre-spray applied to my entire body, followed by a dryer (to prep the skin for the actual solution). Then the Double Dark spray tan is applied to my entire body, followed up with an extra shot to my legs. Lastly, is the post-spray and then the dryer again. After I get out of the booth I wipe the bottoms of my feet and palms of my hands with baby wipes, get dressed, and then wash my hands.
Most people wait a full 6-8 hours to shower, but I get better results by waiting a full 24 hours. It’s good to have loose fitting clothing on when you go to the salon so that the spray can properly dry. I also make sure that I moisturize every day, which helps to preserve my tan.
This is definitely my favorite booth. By following these steps, I feel like I have a good even dark glow that lasts a full week!

This is an old skirt from F21 that I haven’t worn in a couple years. I love that it’s really colorful and lightweight. I decided to pair this vest from, F21 with the skirt to bring some edge to the outfit. This is also the reason I choose the chain necklace, from Glamhairus (pick one up for yourself: http://www.glamhairus.com/chicago/the-shop). The mustard tank and sparkly yellow belt really help to bring the entire look together. To finish it off, I added these strappy nude shoes from Discovery, to help make the outfit more summery.
I also got a keratin treatment a couple weeks ago and it made styling my hair in the summer heat quick and easy. Make your appointment today!

This outfit was inspired by a woman I saw walking down the street. I loved her outfit and realized that I had something similar in my closet. I would call this Boho-Grunge. I feel like I’m Daisy Duke in these cutoff jeans, from Discovery. The ripped, high waisted jeans look great with a pair of wedges. The top and tank are old pieces from F21. The necklace and purse are both pieces from my collection (Buy them here: http://www.glamhairus.com/chicago/the-shop). I feel they both bring a bit of edge and femininity to the outfit.
